The Subconscious Cycle Controlling Your Life.

There's a looping defense mechanism between the 3 elements of oyur experience that's keeping you stuck in fear.

There is a subconscious cycle going on between your thoughts, emotions, and sensations that we need to take charge of. We resist our painful emotions and allow them to manipulate our thoughts (for example, by having us continually justifying our pain as I mention in this video).

 

 

Those thoughts and decisions create a stress response in our bodies that keeps us in a state of fear. 

 

That sense of being unsafe and physiological fight or flight response creates more emotions of fear, sadness, anger, etc…

 

And those emotions create more thoughts, and around and around we go. We need to learn how to see each of those experiences as independent of each other and build the appropriate skills, tools and emotional muscles to handle each one without feeding the cycles.

 

 

When we stop being fooled by the unpleasant nature of the uncomfortable emotions, sensations, and thoughts we carry around, we can stop avoiding them, stop perpetuating that cycle, and allow the body to finally go through the purging process that it’s actually been TRYING to help you go through this whole time. But if you keep justifying your pain, you keep running from that purging process, which keeps you stuck in this cycle forever.

 

 

You’re going to have to recognize as well that there is no short answer and no shortcuts here. You can’t just watch a few Instagram posts and hope that one short sentence is going to awaken you to some magical secret that you’ve been missing. You are going to have to decide that committing to your inner healing is of the utmost importance to you, and find some path – whether that be mine or anyone else’s – that resonates with you, and go all in on yourself to make the transformation happen, recognizing that most people will spend their whole lives chasing external things, without ever putting their inner emotional health truly at the top of their list.

 

 

We tell ourselves that happiness and mental health is the most important thing… but our actions rarely match those words. We blame the world, we blame people, we blame our circumstances, we say ‘now isn’t the right time’, or we simply make excuses of why it can’t be done, and – honestly, in my experience – it’s only the rare few who choose to truly stand up and claim their healing, because… doing so isn’t easy.
